About
Established by Kinryu Inc. (a sake and shochu producer) in the coastal town of Yuza, Yamagata Prefecture. Facing the Sea of Japan at the foot of Mount Chokai, the distillery experiences harsh winters that accelerate maturation. Equipped with Forsyths copper pot stills from Scotland, Yuza produces a small but highly regarded output. Their inaugural single malt release in 2022 earned immediate critical acclaim.
