Hakushu's no age statement single malt, sometimes called the "forest distillery" expression. Selected by the distillery team to showcase Hakushu's signature fresh, green, herbal character. Uses a combination of lightly peated and unpeated malts aged in American oak. An approachable gateway to the Hakushu range.

Reddit reviewers generally consider the Hakushu Distiller's Reserve "better than the Yamazaki Distiller's Reserve," making it a preferred entry point into the Hakushu line. The NAS format means it lacks the depth of the 12 year, but the herbal, minty Hakushu character still comes through. Common feedback: a pleasant sipper but somewhat thin for the price.
