A budget Japanese whisky that is NOT JSLMA compliant. Kensei is produced using imported bulk whisky that is blended and bottled in Japan. The name means "sword saint" but the production lacks transparency. Widely distributed at low price points in the US, it is one of the most commonly encountered non compliant "Japanese" whiskies.
