Miyagikyo Single Malt Grande
宮城峡 シングルモルト グランデ
About
Miyagikyo Grande is the richer, higher ABV companion to the standard Miyagikyo single malt. Released in 2022 as a travel retail exclusive, it amplifies the distillery's signature elegant, fruity character through enhanced sherry cask influence and non chill filtration at 48% ABV.
Tasting Notes
Noticeably sweet and aromatic. Strong sherry influence with dark stone fruits, cranberries, cherries, raisins, stewed fruits, honey, marzipan, and delicate floral notes.
Fruity and mellow with pear, cocoa, and rich dried fruit character. The sherry cask influence adds depth and sweetness while the higher ABV provides excellent structure.
Long lasting with a bittersweet cocoa edge. Dried fruits linger alongside gentle spice and a soft woody warmth.

How to Enjoy
Excellent neat, where the sherry richness really shines. A few drops of water open up the fruit. Also lovely slightly chilled.
