Saburomaru is one of Japan's most distinctive craft distilleries, located in Tonami, Toyama Prefecture. Operated by Wakatsuru Shuzo (founded 1862), it produces heavily peated single malts using ZEMON, a world first cast bronze pot still developed in collaboration with a local bell foundry. The distillery's revival and peated style have earned it a devoted following.
